What is INQA?
INQA stands for “New Quality of Work Initiative” and is a nationwide initiative of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Germany. How does INQA coaching work?
Very easy – it’s only 3 steps:

- INQA Initial Consultation: let us know if you’re interested, and then we’ll help you identify your regional INQA Consultation Center (IBS). The INQA consulting office will check the formal requirements for funding and issue you with an INQA coaching check.
- INQA coaching in the company: The actual coaching with us can then get underway. You send us your INQA coaching check and off you go! Together with your team, we develop custom-fit solutions that rock your business. The whole includes an intensive coaching phase of 4 months (if necessary, it may be extended to 7 months).
- Final meeting with IBS: A few months after the coaching, you will meet for a short evaluation with IBS and report on the results and effects of the coaching. If you want, we can also give you tips on other funding opportunities so that you can benefit from the changes in the long term.
Who can use INQA coaching?
INQA coaching is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want to meet the challenges of the changing world of work. Here’s a checklist to see if your business is eligible:
- Type of company: Your company is legally independent, belongs to the liberal professions or is non-profit.
- Domicile and place of work: Both are located in Germany, either in the federal state of the INQA consulting office or in a neighboring federal state.
- Number of employees: Your company has at least 1 full-time employee subject to social insurance contributions (in the last business year before the start of the consulting as well as during the INQA coaching) and a total of less than 250 employees (measured in annual work units).
- Turnover: Your company has an annual turnover of no more than 50 million euros or an annual balance sheet total of no more than 43 million euros.
- Year of foundation: Your company has existed on the market for at least 2 years or, in the case of a change of legal form, the foundation was more than 5 years ago (in the case of a check award).
